I was sailing on Friday with some business associates and I got more than I bargained for. As we were motoring towards Long Island Sound on the Mystic River, the owner of the boat offered me a very unique beer. Innis and Gunn was the brand and it is brewed in Scotland. On the bottle it said “smooth scottish beer with hints of toffee, vanilla and oak”.The flavors were very distinct. I am going to have to find out where to buy it. If you like to try different beers or are a little bit of a beer snob, you should give Innis and Gunn a try. Go here to visit their website.

episode 8 was great – has a similar experience during a freak snow storm in October of last year. Nine days without power. Taught me some valuable lessons and since it was soooooo cold it helped me sort out some of my priorities. Good thing was I had some good friends that were not so ill prepared or as hard hit from the storm and “with a little help from my friends” I was able to make what would have been a horrible situation a very bearable one. Thanks Carl 😉
PS want to know more about the battery backup for the freezer; I would like to do something just like that. Am anxious to see any video on the how-to’s.
A monster episode…I will give that some thought! I like the idea! I am glad that I was able to help. I was lucky to find the parts. When I put this battery backup together I will put together detailed info on how I did it. Thanks for the comments!
